Fringe Festival – Remote Rochester
September 15, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Berlin. Milan. Paris. New York. Rochester.
“This experience will change you…in a compelling and disarming way.” — RADIO FRANCE
Created by the world-renowned, Berlin based theatre collective Rimini Protokoll.
THE sell-out hit from Fringe 2015 returns! Rochester was the second city in the U.S. after New York City to host a REMOTE X show, and the Fringe-commissioned REMOTE ROCHESTER took our city by storm. Once again, “hordes” of 50 participants, guided by a synthetic voice in their headphones, will take an immersive journey through Rochester unlike any other. As music turns the cityscape into a personal soundtrack, in the eyes of passers-by, the remotely controlled horde looks like some kind of alien entity.
For 20 shows during the 10 days of Fringe, audiences will meet, take a one-of-a-kind tour of Rochester, and disperse two hours later, having discovered new perspectives about their city, themselves, and reality itself.
Experience the city you think you know.
