The re:Main Social
When: Saturday, October 1, from 3pm through late
Where: at Main and Clinton, in front of The Metropolitan
What: Engage in envisioning the past, present, and future of East Main Street! Check out street art, food trucks, a beer garden, tactical urbanism installations, music demos, family-friendly activities….even meet a possible new pet from the Verona Street Animal Shelter! Tour some of Center City’s most interesting spaces, both new and old. Activities culminate with live DJs and a unique dance party overlooking Main Street with historic/future images projected on neighboring buildings. FREE ADMISSION!
Schedule:
*re:Engage – ’Urban play’ & public space design installations, sidewalk activities, buskers (3-6pm)
*re:Develop – preview of future Main Street projects (3-6pm)
*re:Inhabit – special access pass to Main Street buildings (4-6pm)
*re:Habilitate – YUP’s ‘Save the Block Party’ featuring high-powered image projections, DJ ALYKHAN (5-8pm), and DJ Stinky (8-10pm)
*re:Imagine – envision a 21st Century Main Street! Check out Rochester Subway, The Rochesteriat, The Urban Phoenix, Rochester Urbanists FB group, & other media outlets for “re:Imagine Main Street” blogs in the days leading up to the event…..then share your ideas!

Sign up between September 12 and October 7 to Stay in the Loop with Celebrate City Living’s activities, or attend The re:Main Social on October 1 at the Metropolitan. Drawing will be held on Thursday, October 6, and two pairs of tickets will be given away.
