Eastman Museum Garden Vibes: Dom Flemons
Our 23rd season of Garden Vibes wraps up with Dom Flemons, the "American Songster." A multi-instrumentalist, Flemons plays banjo, guitar, harmonica, fife, bones, bass drum, snare drum, and quills, in addition to singing. As a founding member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, an African American string band, Flemons was able to explore his interest in bringing traditional music to new audiences. Eastman Museum Council presents Movie on the Lawn: Ratatouille
Garden salad? No! Garden movie! Pixar's critically acclaimed Ratatouille (2007) follows the adventures of Remy the rat, a rodent with a refined sense of taste and smell who gets separated from his colony in the sewers of Paris. Pursuing the finer things in life, Remy makes his way to the restaurant of his favorite chef, Gusteau. When he learns that Gusteau has died and his name is being used for frozen dinner, Remy teams up with Linguini, a garbage boy…
