Presented by the 11th annual Sankofa Theatre Festival,
showcasing emerging and established black playwrights

The play runs Aug. 29-Sept. 1, 7:30 p.m. and Sat., Sept. 1, 2 p.m.
There will be an opening night reception at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 29,
followed by that evening’s premiere performance of the play.
Caught between running an inn for African American motorists
and providing for their own children, a Virginia family must
weather impending societal changes on the eve of the Civil Rights era.
Following the 2 p.m. Sept. 1 matinee, there will be a talk-back
with playwright Karen Culley, director Reuben Tapp and the cast.

The 11th annual Sankofa Theatre Festival showcases emerging
and established African American playwrights. The festival was
founded in 2007 and is produced by MMB Theatre 1 Project.
